Stradia was employed to assist FK Group at the new Oxford North Development with a full façade/envelope package for Laing O’Rourke
The Project
- 40 weeks Project for Laing O’Rourke (LOR), the Main Contractor, where Stradia assisted FK Group to project & commercially manage the full envelope package for phase 1.
- Phase 1 consisted of 3 main large buildings for mixed offices & retail use, on a JCT DB 2016 Major Projects Subcontract.
- The Project had a very interesting & bespoke double cladding façade system of Kingspan K-Roc Rainscreen with a mixture of additional decorative finish cladding of either KeraTwin K20 Terracotta ship-lapped tiles or Premo Coloured Sinusoidal cladding sheet system.
- Additionally, a variety of Schuco curtain walling and high spec glazing, as well as a Kalzip insulated liner deck roof system and specialist rooflights and doors
Stradia Role
- Successfully managed a good relationship with LOR throughout, overcoming many challenges along the way.
- Agree most of the VO account well ahead of the project finishing.
- Administered 11 Delay notices and 3nr EOT’s with impacted programmes, with regular client liaison.
- Administered & managed approx. 20nr Subcontract work packages on site, following various contract document reviews & analysis, to help and assist the site management team understand its obligations & deliver them effectively.
- Undertaken various regular budget & forecasting exercises & models – to allow regular informative commercial updates
