Produced in response to the recent CICV payment and cashflow survey, it has been compiled by a number of industry experts who have set out what organisations should do to ensure to maximise payment, protect cashflow and reduce costly disputes. Stradia is now able to offer specialist training on the FIDIC Silver Book – conditions of contract for EPC and Turnkey projects. The Silver Book is particularly recommended for process or power plants, factories and/or infrastructure when the Employer wishes the maximum degree of certainty in terms of costs and time of the works and intends to have the Contractor entirely responsible and liable for the design and execution of the Works. The Form gives certainty as to the time and costs of the works, being on a lump sum basis and with limited possibility for the Contractor to request and obtain price adjustments.
Nigel Barr, our Managing Director, is a highly regarded international construction contract trainer and is offering a one day CPD course on the FIDIC Silver Book, delivered on an in-house basis. For more information, please contact liz.duncan@stradia.com
