Stradia’s Construction Consultancy Background

For over 20 years, our construction consultancy has enjoyed developing practical solutions to the ever-changing challenges presented by the Construction Industry.

It started back in 1995, when, energised by the dawning era of partnering, Nigel Barr and Sharron Taylor created Knowles Management within the Knowles Group.

Supported by a team of forward thinking construction professionals, each bringing a huge breadth of knowledge and construction experience, we were determined to improve performance, efficiency and relationships in the industry. We wanted to bring new ideas to solve age old problems such as cost over-spends and disputes. So, we set about creating services that assisted clients to implement better ways of working and which delivered better results. Those challenging early days were creative and rewarding as working practices changed and our clients’ performance improved.

In 2007, we undertook a management buy-out to create Stradia Ltd. We continue to learn, grow and strengthen our service offering, pursuing fresh ideas, creating successful construction bids and developing workable solutions that improve performance in response to the ever-changing challenges faced by industry.

Since 2015 we have also been working hard in the Social Care sector to improve performance and reduce costs by developing new Strategic Delivery Models. Our relationships and significant experience in the Social Housing sector ignited our ideas for the Social Care sector which experiences commercial and logistical challenges comparable to the Social Housing sector.

We were thrilled to merge with Aspire Associates in 2019, which significantly strengthened our service capability. Under the energetic and determined direction of Chris Metcalfe (Director) the Claims, Disputes and Adjudication team has gone from strength to strength winning multiple highly important construction disputes and adjudications for our clients.

Plenty has changed in the construction industry since our early days, but one thing that hasn’t is our commitment to deliver excellent results and exceptional client experience.
